For many of us leading an active life, keeping in touch with our environment means being able to interface with a diverse range of communication systems like telephones, televisions, MP3 players, computers or other audio sources. For hearing instrument users, participating in these often important, sometimes just fun aspects of modern living has been a big challenge. Not anymore!
Phonak’s iCom allows for communication with multiple devices with their new CORE hearing instruments. The iCom is extremely easy to use and has a rechargeable battery. Phonak has recently released a new TV listening system that works with the iCom and CORE hearing instruments. Our patients are amazed by how much better they can understand the dialogue on TV with the new system.

Oticon’s ConnectLine system is designed to work with cell phones, home phones and television. Their streamer can connect with multiple devices wirelessly and it works as a remote control for the hearing aids allowing for volume control and program changing. Patients can purchase a streamer only or the whole ConnectLine kit. Many current Oticon hearing aids work with wireless technology.
