The Rapid Pace of Technology

Our world is full of new and exciting technology: faster and smaller computers, sharper and bigger televisions, and mobile phones that take pictures and respond to voice commands. The technology in the hearing aid industry is going the same speed. Aids are smaller, faster and sharper than they were even a few years ago. They don’t take pictures yet or respond to voice commands but give the industry time! Some patients come into my office saying that hearing aids didn’t work well for family members in the past so they are hesitant to try. I am always encouraging that new technology is worth a try.
